ماذا يأكل الدب

يُعتبر الدب أحد الحيوانات التي تأكل النباتات والحيونات، ويختلف كلَّ نوع طعام باختلاف الدب، فعلى سبيل المثال: يأكل الدب القطبيّ الفقمات، ويقضي دب الباندا العملاق 12 ساعة في اليوم، وهو يتناول البامبو، بينما تأكل الدببة الكسلانة النمل الأبيض؛ إذ يُعد طعامها المُفضل، حيث تمتلك أنوف طويلة تُساعدها على امتصاص النمل الأبيض.

شكل الدب القطبي

يمتلكُ الدبّ القطبيّ أذنين مستديرتين، وعنقاً طويلاً، ورأساً صغيراً نسبياً، وذيلاً قصيراً، وجسماً ممتلئاً وقصيراً، وأقداماً كبيرةً يحتوي باطنها على الفرو، للحماية، والعزل، وتسهيل الحركة، وكما تعمل النتوءات الموجودة في باطن القدم على منع الانزلاق على الجليد.

وزن الدب

يبلغُ حجمُ ذكر الدبّ القطبيّ أكبرَ بثلاثة أضعاف حجم الأنثى، إذ يتراوح وزن الذكر من ثلاثمئة وخمسين كيلوغراماً إلى أكثر من ستمئة وخمسين كيلوغراماً، بينما يتراوح وزنُ الأنثى من مئة وخمسين كيلوغراماً إلى مئتين وخمسين كيلوجراماً، ويصل وزنها إلى خمسمئة كيلوغرامٍ أثناءَ الحمل، وبالنسبة للطّول فيتراوح طولُ ذكر الدبّ القطبيّ من مترين ونصف إلى ثلاثة أمتار، وطول الأنثى من متر وثمانين سانتيمتراً إلى مترين ونصف، ومن الجدير بالذكر أنّ أكبر دبّ قطبيّ بلغ وزنُه 1.002 كيلوجرام، وطولُه 3.7 متر.
